I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out seven days ago. I've been smoking weed and cigarettes for years, and this little procedure has totally turned me into a hypochondriac. I haven't had any cigarettes out of fear of dry socket, but I have been smoking up every day since my surgery. Basically, don't roll j's or bl*nts, don't use a water pipe unless someone will assist you (pulling air through all that water creates too much negative pressure in my point of view); just use a small pipe and pull very gently. Exhale through your nose and drink lots of water. Weed causes cotton mouth so drink some more. Lots of water. Then, like eating, rinse for a few minutes (also gently) with warm salt water just for good measure. I've been freaking out every day since, but seem to be okay. *knocks on wood. And 7 days later, fyi, it's become more of a discomfort than a pain. When it does randomly become painful, I've noticed another warm salt water rinse actually seems to help. Last tip, as this one's the best I've come by online: The salt water rinses are for killing bacteria, pulling blood to the area to facilitate healing, but the rinses do a lame job actually getting food dislodged from the holes. I'm too lazy to hit up CVS for one of those irrigator things, so I cut a small slit in the corner of a ziplock bag, fill it with water, and it pours out in a nice little stream from the hole. Point that little stream right at each of the holes to get food out and it works like a charm. Smoke up, just be gentle and facilitate your healing as you do it. Rinse every time you consume something other than water, as well as first and last thing you do in the day, and you should be good. Just be gentle about it, too much swishing in your mouth can cause dry socket. So can spitting, too, so you'll have to let it just drain out. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The answer To that one is a big NO NO NO! During the first day/days of getting yourwisdom teeth pulled that is an Absolute NO NO! Smoking on the first couple days of getting your wisdom teeth pulled is a very high risk of infection. Toxic Smoke gets into the Blood Clot and can infect it really bad. Then you would need to go back to the Oral Surgeon and get more shots. So make wise decisions and take care of your self.

I asked my doctor cause i just had it done today, she said you shouldn't cause it will cause something called dry sockets which would make u have to go back there a few times to get fixed :p BUT she said it'll be alright after three days.... 3 days is a bit 2 long for me to go without weed so i guess its good that's she ALSO told me that its not the actual smoke that gives u the dry sockets its the process of sucking in the smoke... but since im a playa playa:p ima just gonna go out and buy the extreme vaporizer which has a fan in it that will blow the smoke out for you, luxury huh lol. pce

You can only smoke weed for pain relief if you are in an area where this is legal in the circumstances.

If you are in an area where this is not legal, you run the risk of prosecution, with all that that entails, from having a police record to having to face the penalties for possession or use of illegal drugs in that area.

Ask your dentist for pain relief: there are many options available and your dentist is the person who is aware of your medical history and qualified to decide what medication to prescribe you.

If it isn't convenient to visit or ring your dentist, see a doctor; any doctor will be able to help.

it will mess up your healing process which would suck, but you should just get somebody to do it for you and you can breath it in, or smell it in. actually learn to make brownies that would work nicely. you can make any type of weed food with fat in it, like butter.

When can you smoke weed after teeth tooken out and stitches?

They tell you not to smoke anything bc it can cause infection or cause dry socket which is when you suck to hard and pop the blood vessel or whatever. I smoked after I got my wisdom teeth pulled. As long as you keep your mouth clean and try not to hit it to hard you should be fine

When getting a normal tooth not a wisdom tooth pulled is it okay to smoke weed?

Yes you can, you only might get an infection. It might hurt but shiv happens, i have done it and it didn't do any thing to me. The reason why you are not supposed to smoke anything after getting a wisdom tooth pulled is because smoking dries out the newly exposed gum area, which is not good for its healing. So it probably is the same for a regular tooth; just wait a few days to a week.

Would smoking weed in a vaporizer help after wisdom teeth removal?

dont! it gave me dry socket! ouch!

How long after getting your wisdom teeth pulled can you start smoking weed?

You are not supposed to smoke anything for at least 72 hours (3 days) after having your wisdom teeth removed, as the sucking motion you make when inhaling can disturb the extraction site and cause it to start bleeding again. This is especially true when you have the bottom ones removed (as opposed to the top ones).Personally, I cannot go 3 days without a cigarette, even with the strongest nicotine patch. So I limited myself to 2 or 3 cigarettes a day for the first few days after having my wisdom teeth removed, and I smoked them as carefully as possible. You could also try smoking from a homemade gravity bong, as it will do all the sucking for you. All you have to do is open your mouth.
