You can only smoke weed for pain relief or for any other purpose if you are in an area where this is legal.
If you are in an area where this is not legal, you run the risk of prosecution, with all that that entails, from having a police record to having to face the penalties for possession or use of illegal drugs in that area.
Your doctor can advise you whether there is any reason marijuana use might not be advisable if you have a broken tooth.

∙ 12y agoMy doctor told me it would be okay after the infection cleared up. I was given a 7-day prescription for antibiotics, so if everything looks normal after that I would suppose it would be okay when you are done taking antibiotics. Of course, when you go see the dentist to get the tooth seen about, they may want you to not smoke while it heals, too.
