Some of them have wax, acrylic or other substances in them that expand in contact with water and might choke you or cause very serious lung problems. It's a bad idea to snort any kind of pill, but these are especially harmful. (note: I'm not sure how to make an extended-release pill instant-release, but I thought I'd correct that incredibly bad advice above.)
