You can even become angry... but you are never allowed to strike your wife... ever.. anyone who moves without love is outside of God's will... No individual interpretation of a scripture should run you life or marriage... God's word is a light for our pathways and a mirror for ourselves to see... You need 1Cor13 you need to learn God loves your wife and will correct her... you just keep her in your prayers...

Who disciplines you? She is an adult, just like you are. It is not your place to discipline her. Putting your hands on her to punish her would also be considered domestic violence in most places, which you can be arrested for.
