In the UK a product by the name of frontline would be my recommendation.
As you see ticks go pretty high, so they are hard to get rid of. I would recommend a power spray or it could be done with a hose-end sprayer & literally spray everything.
I don't know if it kills them, but it will get one to let go of you. At which point you are free to spare its life if you wish....
Try putting a flea & tick collar on the cat or just buy a flea spray in shops....
We spray ourselves from head to toe with Off! including our outer clothing. Tuck pants legs into boots and wear long sleeved shirts. Do a body check for any ticks when you leave the area.
if your chickens get ticks , use the same method as a dog get a tick removing tool clip it over the bulbus area of the tick and gently twist in one direction this will make the tick un clamp its self from the bird make sure that you get all the legs out as it will cause a infection then make sure your bird is not bleeding and put some antiseptic ointment on it then spray with purple spray
To answer your question, ACV has been used in repelling & killing ticks. I spray our yard with it to repel ticks, as they do not like the taste or smell. I also use about 1 teaspoon daily in my dogs water & even put some on a wet cloth and wipe him with it before he heads out in the yard. It has done wonders for keeping them at bay although you get that one or two but they are not attached so I would say Yes it works
One of two ways. 1. If you know your car has ticks pick them off! 2. Put tick or bug powder on your car then in 5-15 minutes or time listed on the back of the bottle, wait that long and vacuum it up. **** If anymore problems try placing garlic in your car. Garlic is a natural repellent for ticks and other blood sucking parasites.********
Avoid the temptation to do something, meaning spray insecticides. Your risk of ticks in your house is very low.Even if your friend's dog had ticks on it, those ticks are actively trying to bite and latch onto the dog in order to feed. Assuming that somehow some tick or two fell off of the dog and are on your floor, the likelihood is that it will die on its own or be sucked up next time you vacuum. If you should see a tick, simply kill (squash) it or flush it Avoid the temptation to do something, meaning spray insecticides. A group of ticks is called a "cluster" or a "pack."
