yes they can but not a very good one. there is no minimum wage for a 14 year old and it is very difficult to get a job as you need national insurance number for a proper one. you get tht wen ur 16. many businesses wont employ you as well due to tax and insuracne reasons. find a job with a family friend, an infromal job that's the best one i think.
In the UK there is no law about the minimum legal age for babysitting. Whether a 12 year old should babysit or not depends on their individual maturity; some 12 year olds are more mature than adults, however others act a lot younger than they are. If the babysitter is mature and responsible, they should take a babysitting and/or first aid course and make sure they have had plenty of experience. For example, if you have only worked with kids aged 2 and up and someone asks you to sit for a newborn, apologise and turn it down. This way you show that you are honest and reliable.
Hand out fliers to people you know with kids (never to a stranger) and be sure they know that you are only 12. They might want to have you come for an interview first, but if they see you are responsible and good with kids, then yes you can babysit!
You can start working from the age of 13 in England, although some parents may want you to be older. It's worth a try though!
PAPER BOY!!! or girl
Try the Army.
The only job a 13 year old can get is a paper boy and the child has to be back home by 7:00

A 15 year old girl can baby sit in order to make money. Girls who live in London, UK can also mow grass for extra money.
You can always try a coffee or sandwich shop for a job or a local ice cream shop if you have one.
In the UK, it's sixteen, but in France, Germany, Italy and Spain, it's fourteen

Newspapers, job centres. online services. But the best way is to physically go and knock on doors, whether there is an advertised job there or not, and get your name on their books.
