Probably.....but I wouldn't recommend it seeing as it would hurt very badly, and the opening may not be large enough. You should probably just go get it pierced.
Yes if you still need the needle to pierce yourself it is cool but not someone else because it is you needle now that it went through your lip.
I pierced my own lip with a needle. I put the needle through the hole in the middle of my bottom lip and then pulled it out. It didn't hurt at all and it was fun to do. You don't pierce your lip with the ring, you need a specific sized needle, and then you slide the ring in. I'd recommend going to a professional unless you wish to have an infection or pierce it in-correctly.
when you get your lip pierced by a professional they do not use a gun they use clamps and a needle they push the needle through your lip very fast i have i have had my lip pierced 4 times and i watched the piercer the whole time GO TO A PROFESSIONAL THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! 2nd answer: I pierced my lip myself and my tips would be, get an actual piercing needle. They are so much easier to use. But, if you can't get one use a thick sewing needle. I used one. Numb BOTH sides of your lip with ice. Then just stick the needle through. If you hesitate it will just hurt more. Once it is through wait maybe one hour. Remember to move around the needle in between the waiting time. Then slowly as you pull the needle out place the lip ring in. I suggest studs. You can put rings in about 3-4 weeks after it has healed with no problem.
I'd say so :) #SelfPiercer
Take the needle out, clean the wound, let it heal, and get it done professionally. Doing any oral piercings yourself carries a lot of risk. Lip piercings aren't something to be taken lightly.
You can but I suggest boiling it first or using a lighter to get all the germs off- also, you need to remember that a sewing needle is super skinny so unless you can find jewelry that's the same size of a sewing needle I wouldn't do it. I pierced my own lip before but it was with an actual piece of ear jewelry so I knew that it would be the gauge I wanted it to be- plus a sewing needle kind of hurts your finger when you're trying to push it through, so I'd also suggest putting an eraser on the end of it so it doesn't stab your finger. Sure you can if you want to get an infection. Boiling it doesn't do you any good. The water allows more bacteria to collect on the needle. Also, it only sanitizes the needle. Professionals use autoclaves which completely sterilize the needle. The sewing needle is way too small to have a comfortable transition between the needle and the jewelry. Fact of the matter is that you are not trained to pierce yourself. DON'T DO IT. Wearing ear jewelry in a lip piercing is a bad idea. The back of the earring will most likely become embedded in your lip. Save up the money to get it done by a pro. Just because some people are lucky enough to not get infections doesn't mean you'll be just as lucky.
With a hollow needle that creates an almost complete circular incision like cut in the skin.
a specially needle is used. the common size for the needle is 14 g, and sometimes they use a 16 g if you don't want the hole to be so large
Put a needle through your lip. Donna Was Here xx Love You.
That would depend on each individuals personal pain threshold. But it would hurt anyone more if the piercer had no proper training or equipment (like if someone pierced their own lip with a sewing needle) Either way it would hurt, no matter what, as it is jabbing a needle through a body part.
It won't parilize your lip but if you hit a vein it can cause a lot of bleeding nd then the lip will have to be re done..also if u do it at home do it with a 16g hollow needle and use a 18gauge stud or ring....I have tryed mine at home before with a sewing needle then tried to put the jewelery in after I was done....the hole was not big enough and I could not get it in!
