citalopram is an anti depressant. Its the generic form of celexa. Taking one 20mg daily by regular use (swallow pill with water) made me feel crappy enough! If someone sniffs one of these, you will probably want to kill yourself. But that's just what I think would happen, who knows. *shrugs shoulders*
yes you can took the moring after pill two weeks ago and still feel so sick
Lexapro is a cleaned up version of Citalopram (The molecules). Both of the drugs are SSRI. The Citalopram has more side effects and can not be as effective in solving depression. Additionally Lexpro has been found to help anxiety while the Citalopram has not been tested for it. The meds have different effects on different people. The Citalopram (name brand is called Celexa) is the generic brand.
For me it took a few days, and then I already started feeling better! I did have several side effects the first 2 weeks, like stomach nausea, headaches, no appetite, and very sleepy. I have been on it about 3 weeks now and I feel amazing, I feel this drug has saved my life. I still do take Xanax .25mg for anxiety occasionally. I take citalopram for clinical depression. I took Lexapro for 4 weeks and have been experiencing the withdrawal symptoms. I have been off this med for 6 days now and feel lightheaded, nausea, dizziness and having headaches. I sure hope this doesn't last too much longer.
Yes. However, citalopram will pretty much negate the effects of the codeine, and vice versa.Citalopram is CYP2D6 inhibitor, while codeine is a substrate. So you wont feel the codeine, or the citalopram. So I'd not do the codeine. You could try it though, if its not dangerous for you to not be on the citalopram.Ref http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyp2d6#CYP2D6_Ligands
Citalopram (aka - celexa) is an anti-depressant medication that may be prescribed for other ailments just as: eating disorders and panic attacks. As long as the medication is prescribed by a competent physician who is familiar with this product, it can be very safe.
