Unlike some countries, the US has not devalued postage for over 100 years. The stamps are still valid for their face value. You still need 44 cents to mail a first class letter, but you can get that with any combination of stamps.

∙ 16y agoStamps issued since 1865 never expire. You can use them as long as the total equals the correct rate (41 cents currently) for the item.

∙ 13y agoYes. 2007 postcard stamps are worth 26 cents, so if you buy two 1 cent addition stamps and put those along with the 2007 cent stamp your postcard will be mailed.
