You dream everynight. No matter what.

You sleep, you dream.

Whether you remember it or not...well that's different.

If you're haveing very vivid dreams maybe you should talk to someone...

Because something is obviously bothering you.

Well, good luck.

If you don't eat sugary stuff before you go to bed, it will probably help a lot. The reason is because sugar causes excessive brain activity, which causes dreams.

It is not possible or healthy to prevent dreaming. Dreaming is an involuntary function of the subconscious mind. But disturbing dreams, nightmares, and restless sleep can be caused by a number of things including prescription medication, caffeine, "energy" drinks, over-the-counter medications and, of course, recreational drug use. Drinking alcohol late at night can disturb one's sleep pattern, resulting in one remembering more dreams.

... Instead of trying to keep from having dreams, which is not possible, one can try to have deeper, less interrupted sleep. See attached link below for more information.

It is natural to dream about what one thinks about frequently. If the dreamer has a crush or infatuation with a certain person, that person is bound to appear in one's dreams. In order to stop such dreams, one must focus one's attention elsewhere and develop other interests.

Usually you can think of that person before you sleep so you wont have to think about it when you sleep. Or sometimes you can try to think about something even more exciting, so you can think about it in sleep.

Bad dreams very often reflect the dreamer's fear and anxiety concerning some real life situation. This is particularly true of recurring nightmares of being chased by something. The most reliable way of stopping such dreams is to confront the real life problem and resolve it instead of avoiding it. Once the real life situation is no longer causing stress, the bad dreams will end. See the link below for other examples of nightmares and further discussion.
