Before putting it on put the DVD inside. Then you put it on and press browser with your joystick. It says DVD video, then press it and when the DVD menu comes just choose play movie and voila you're watching a DVD.
You're looking for uLaunch and SMS Player
uLaunch CD bin: it extracts to 700mb lol
http://www.sksapps.com/launchers/uLaunchELF_v4.12_CD.rar
burn the ulaunch disk on a CD using whatever software, i think Nero works, don't see why it wouldn't, but if not, just get DVD decryptor or imgburn (lol i actually cant remember if you can burn cds with DVD decryptor/imgburn).
then get the media player
http://www.sksapps.com/media/SMS_Version_2.5.rar
and put that .elf file into your usb drive along with whatever divx/xvid/mp3 files
boot up the ulaunch disk. plug in your usb whenever.
after ulaunch loads, press "circle" to get to the main menu, then go to "mass:" (circle is to go forward, x is back), so yeh select mass: which will look into your usb drive. then load up the SMS player 2.5 .elf file.
that'll load up SMS Player, i think you have to configure it the first time for SMS to load up the USB drive. so press Start once the player loads and select something like, "AutoStart USB" then the USB icon should appear near the top beside the CD icon. get out of the settings with triangle i guess, and select the USB icon, then whatever media file. x just loads it, circle gives you the option to load it with sub files if you have them.
hope this helps. ive only used this with a mod-chipped ps2, so i dunno about the other methods.
theres a way to put the SMS player elf file into the ulaunch disk itself, so you don't need to load the SMS player elf off a usb, but sms updates a bunch anyways (along with ulaunch too) so its good to just keep getting the latest of SMS Player and just load it off the USB key.
works for me :D links provided by SKSApps.com of course. dunno if those are the latest versions, most likely though.
No, that wouldn't work.
