This depends on the soup, but bases are not usually found in our food, and it is more likely to add lemon juice that soap to you soup, so..it will mostly turn blue LP into red

Sounds like the soup is spoiled or - if the recipe used vinegar - too much vinegar was used.
Most chicken soups don't have a sweet flavor but if yours does, maybe the onions you used were sweet onion or you used more carrots than other recipes. Once it's sweet, you can try salt, lemon juice or vinegar (very little) to cut the sweet.
The quick answer is yes IF you solely want tomato flavoring.. however condensed tomato soup is more than just tomatoes with spices like onions garlic paprika and other items. so it will change the taste of your recipe since most times tomato past e is simple dehydrated tomatoes and little else.
The zest from any other citrus fruit would work fine. However, the recipe will taste like that citrus instead of lime. I suppose a bit of lime juice could work, but I wouldn't suggest it for a particularly delicate recipe, especially if you're baking. Something sturdy like a soup or stir fry should be fine, though, if you substitute juice for zest.
