If you Normal Summoned a monster in Main Phase 1, you cannot Normal Summon another monster in Main Phase 2 as both Main Phases are in the same turn and according to Konami's Master Rules, a player can only Normal Summon once per turn, unless otherwise indicated by a card effect.
If you use the effect of Ultimate Offering or Double Summon, then yes, you could Normal Summon again.
You can Special Summon as many times as you wish during any turn.

Basically, when you special summon a monster with 1500 or less ATK with cards like marauding captain, call of the haunted, or monster reborn, you can activate this card when your opponent has a face-up monster to special summon all copies of that monster. Your opponent can special summon all copies of his monster too, but that's a rare chance IMO.
Can you activate Torrential Tribute when a player sets a monster in Yu-Gi-Oh?
If a monster is set you cannot activate it. "Torrential Tribute" can only activate when any player performs a flip summon, normal summon, Ritual summon, Fusion summon or Special summon, but a set is different from a summon so you cannot activate "Torrential Tribute". The same applies to other cards that activate when a monster is summoned (like "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Solemn Judgment").

You have to summon them first - they equip by using their Ignition Effects, which can only be done when they are on the field in the monster zone.

No, it's not true. You get only one 'Normal Summon' per turn, but not only can other cards 'Special Summon' one or more monsters in the same turn as you do this, but other cards can let you Normal Summon more than once too.
