Yes, the G52 transmission from the 1984 Toyota 4WD pickup can be swapped with the W56 transmission from the 1989 Toyota truck, as both are designed for 4-cylinder engines and share similar mounting points. However, you may need to modify the driveshafts or adjust the transmission crossmember for proper fitment. Additionally, ensure compatibility with the transfer case and other components for a successful swap. Always check for specific compatibility based on your vehicle's configuration.
No, a 1992 Toyota pickup V6 transmission is not compatible with a 22R engine. The V6 transmission is designed for a different engine configuration and has different mounting points, bellhousing designs, and torque specifications compared to the 22R. If you're looking to swap components, it's essential to use a transmission specifically designed for the 22R engine.
no,you cant swap a 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder out,totally different.
no 84 and 85 swap out.
Not really. You see the 1999 Camry had different chassis and configurations from any of today's Toyota car's chassis.
i have a 1994 single cab short bed 2wd Toyota with a 2001 5.3L LT1 motor stuffed in it..as long as you have the correct motor mounts and wiring harness your ok...
depends on generation i guess. if there was ever a rear wheel drive Camry produced than it might be possible to do the swap. consider it impossible unless you are extremely mechanical and modivated
The 22R engine is commonly found in Toyota pickup trucks from the years 1981 to 1985. It was part of the Toyota's R series of engines and was known for its reliability and simplicity. If you're looking to swap or replace a 22R, it's best suited for those specific model years to ensure compatibility.
you could butyou will have to use the Nissan transmission and transfercase you will also have to make motor mounts a crossmember and fabricate both driveshafts . then youll need to incorporate the computer from the Nissan to get it to run . i wouldn't attempt this unless you have a lot of experance and a lot of free time .its easier to just find a good engine like you need at the junk yard and it willbe a lot cheaper to.
Check out toyotanation.com They have a forum dedicated to paseo, tercels, startlets They also have a common engine swap guide there.
yes if you use the rite trany and efi harnes because the bell houseing bolt patterns are different the two motors anf the harneses are different and depending on what vehicle it is you may need to fabricate a crossmember for the trany
4 cylinder and V6 have different wiring schemes as well computers. Also some other parts are different. Most likely you will not able to swap such engines because it's no a direct fit.
