yeah it will fit perfect same model
Just saying that Chevy didn't have a vtec... its a vortec a vtec is Honda, and yes but not very easy in 98 the switched the fuel injection system and you would have trouble changingt o a newer year.
yes it will, but the 95 is obd1 and the 98 is obd2, if you switch the intake manifold and keep the obd2 sensors, you shouldn't get any codes assuming neither engine is vtec, if the 95 is vtec than you just wont use the vtec wires, if the 98 is vtec you will have to hook it up, but the engine will run fine even without the vtec hooked up.
can u put a tranny from a 98 Honda civic lx in to a 97 Honda civic dx
It is by the canister box right in front of the tank.
Where is the location of my vent valve solenoid 98 honda accord ex v6
127, although I think some have the vtec cylinoid but don't have vtec
All Honda d series motors are basically interchangeable... however, for the swap to be street legal in the USA, the motor must be from the same year as the car or later. The d16Z6 block is gen. 5 (92 - 95), the 96-98 ex is gen. 6, so the swap wouldn't be considered legal. You would also be switching from OBD2 to OBD1, which is another no-no... So, can it be done ? Yes. Has it been done? Yes. Should you do it ? Hmmm... The stock motor (d16y8) in the 98 EX is a VTEC motor w/ about 127 hp. The d16z6 motor is a VTEC motor w/ about 125 HP. The only advantage to be gained here is possibly one of price &/or availability. I recently saw a full d16y8 motor w/ less than 70K miles up on an auction site for about $450... find someone who has recently done a B or K series swap into their Honda, & you might even get one for less, just so they can get rid of it.
its vtec not vtech.
Yes, they're the same motor and it's an easy swap unless one happens to be carbureted and the other is EFI. The trannies and chaincases aren't interchangeable.
To swap a 97 2.2 Acura engine into a 98 2.3 Acura CL, you'll need the engine, transmission, and associated wiring harness from the 97 model. Additionally, you'll require the ECU compatible with the 2.2 engine, as well as any necessary mounts and brackets to fit the engine into the 98 chassis. It's also important to consider potential differences in exhaust systems and cooling components between the two models. Finally, thorough research on compatibility and any required modifications is essential for a successful swap.
