The CLK 500 is electronically speed limited to 155MPH/250KM/H. This means the engine could go faster but has been deliberately controlled so it cannot exceed the speeds listed previously.
8 if its a V-8.......... No, the CLK 430 is a dual-spark engine so you will need sixteen spark plugs, eight on each side. Many recommend NGK over Bosch.
I have seen a few on the net with CLK 18" alloys on, so my guess is quite possibly
Some cars that Jeremy Clarkson has are the Mercedes CLK 63 AMG, Volvo XC90, Mercedes Benz SLK55, Mercedes 600 Grosser, Ford Focus and a Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE. He has also owned many other cars like the Ferrari F355, Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW Z1 e.t.c also he bought his wife an Aston martin V8 Vantage
There are so many ways the trunk lid could get jammed the answer to your question is "you have to be there." I would take it to a dealership and have the Mercedes Benz people look at it. I am sure they would know at least what not to do.
MY UNDERSTANDING ITS MANUFACTURED SO THAT YOU CANOT SYPHON GAS FROM THAT TANK IF YOUR TRYING TO CHANG THE TANK VAN SHOULD BE LIFTED SO YOU CAN DISC HOSE FROM TANK AND SYPHON OR PUMP IT OUT THAT WAY
I have a clicking as you describe on my CLK. I have also noticed the windscreen demister not so good. I have taken it to an independent mechanic who says this is a recognised fault and is due to a cog slipping on something in the heater. He tells me it is a main dealer job and is likely to be over £1000 !
The diesel leak off is for getting air out of the system should you run out of fuel. It is very difficult to get the diesel engine restarted after running out of fuel as compared to a gasoline engine which is relatively easy. Once you have run your diesel out of fuel, the injectors must be primed for you to have even a chance of getting restarted. So, VW/ Mercedes owners, keep that tank about a quarter.
A frequent question. There are dozens of ways, apparently, depending on the car model and year. So my favorite was is to drive into a Mercedes Benz dealership and ask them to reset the light. Even better, wait until you need an oil change and drive in and ask them to do service "A" on the car. Be sure to get a cost estimate first.
No, but it should be cleaned with a syphon.
I wouldn't advise it but I suppose it is plausible.
It is located on the top front of the engine on the driver's side. it looks like a black oil filter that has been cut in half. The filter comes out in pieces so be careful that nothing falls inside. It is the same for 430, 500, cls, clk.
