No you can not. I am an adult taking Ritalin and I took a decongestant with it and I was up for about 2 days. Because under normal circumstances, Ritalin is an "upper" and paired with a decongestant it is like waking a sleeping giant. Do not mix Riatlin with anything unless you have checked it with your doctor. After that episode I am much more careful.
These two medications are used to treat ADHD; they both belong to a category of drugs known as psychostimulants that increase dopamine release in the brain. They should only be used together if your doctor prescribes them to you to be taken together.
Concerta and Ritalin are the same drug, methylphenidate, in two different forms. Concerta is a long-lasting formulation that releases the drug for up to twelve hours while Ritalin is generally instant release. A doctor may prescribe both long-lasting and short-lasting stimulants for treatment. Taking these drugs together may increase the likelihood of side effects including the risk for heart attack. Consult your physician.
Yes but if you have high blood pressure you should not take decongestants.
Yes
No, claritin D contains an antihistamine and a decongestant.
My doctor told me Claritin is safe. (NOT Claritin-D) There's no adverse reaction, as with Sudafed-type decongestants, but unfortunately, the decongesting results is not very good either.
lorazapam and claritin can be mixed as long as the claritin does not contain any decongestant ie psudophedrine. that's like taking a strong "downer" with a strong "upper"
Yes there is no problem in taking claritin D while using Advair pumps.
can you take naproxen and then claritin
You can take Claritin-D with Atenolol.
can you take ceftin and claritin together
can I take Claritin and Nyquil together
Yes, you can take Sudafed or a decongestant while taking Benzonatate. Benzonatate is a cough suppressant and does not contain a decongestant.
Yes. Drink plenty of fluids. Use Tylenol, aspirin or an NSAID for fever or headache. This applies to Claritin (Loratadine) and not Claritin D (Loratadine with Pseudoephedrine)For Claritin D Yes. These medications each contain two drugs that treat two different conditions. Mucinex DM is an expectorant/cough suppressant. Claritin D is an antihistamine decongestant. Avoid Claritin D if you have high blood pressure or heart problems. If you develop a fever, take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (ibuprofen) with any of these.Source: http://www.bjchealth.org/?id=5488&sid=3
