Nothing will happen seeing as the new Dayquil contains acetaminophen and Advil contains ibuprofen, which are two diffrerent pain relievers. The Advil is more a physical reliever, helps the aches, while the Dayquil, acetaminophen, works in the brain not peripherally. Just don't take too much. Listen and follow to the prescribed dosages and if uncomfortable take less then advised. In fact many doctors will prescribe both at the same time just at different hourly intervals i.e acetaminophen every 4-6 and ibuprofen every 6-8.
It's probably OK but why are you checking this site for medical advice? The previous answer was flat out wrong and even dangerous. Never under any circumstances combine acetaminophen(Tylenol and others) with Dayquil or Nyquil.
Ibuprofen is probably fine but, really, go check a real medical site.
I agree that you should be checking a medical site but the above answer is very misleading. Acetaminophen IS the active fever reducer in Dayquil so taking a product like Tylenol with Dayquil could lead to overdose of the acetaminophen but not a bad drug interaction.
No, each adult dose of DayQuil already contains 650 mg of acetaminophen. Taking more acetaminophen in addition to this could result in toxicity.
It says directly on the package warnings not to take with any other medications that contain acetaminophen.
No its not a good idea. I did not knowing and puked pretty bad about 20 minutes later. They dont mix lol
Uh I would say no. I did yesterday and it pretty much got me high, haha.
is it safe to take dayquil with aspitin
yes small doses
Yes, i just did when i ran out of Advil. It works the Same as Tylenol with acetaminophen.
It all depends on the main ingredient in the Sudafed you are purchasing. The regular Sudafed which contains pseudoephdrine is safe to take with Dayquil. The Sudafed PE, which is now being sold can not be taken with Dayquil since Dayquil contains the same decongestant, phenylephrine as Sudafed PE.
Can you take dayquil and hydrocodne/acetemetaphin
Allegra and Dayquil have none of the same active ingredients, and as such, they can both be taken simutaneously with little to no side effects, though like usual, they can not be taken in excess.
Overdose, possible death, Call 911.
Zzzquil and Advil can be taken at the same time. Zzzquil's active ingredient is diphenhydramine which is an antihistamine that causes drowsiness. Advil is a pain reliever/fever reducer that contains Ibuprofen. Both of these medications are safe to take together.
Nope. You're taking two different pain relievers in the Motrin and the DayQuil and two different allergy medicines in Zyrtec and DayQuil. If you have a cold, take DayQuil by itself. If you have allergies and pain, take Zyrtec and Motrin.
No!
No
Not sure
This is a question for your psychiatrist but when I take the recommended dosage of dayquil with my prescribed Ritalin, it's not a problem.
yes
