I wouldn't suggest it. Today I tried the two together to relieve my cough, but loosen the mucus in my lungs (so counterproductive.

I tried Delsum 12 hour cough relief cough suppressant in grape flavor first, 10 mL.

Then about an hour later I had two Mucinex DM tablets (12 hour relief) with a full, big glass of water.

About an hour later after that, I'm now starting to feel the messed up effects of the two together. My eyes can't focus on things at all, and I'm dizzy. Whenever I walk it feels messed up and light. It's like an acid trip or something, though I've never had one. While those side effects sound cool and all, they can be dangerous!

So I wouldn't try the two together, considering my experiences!

p.s. I don't know what other side effects could happen between the two, like vomiting or even death. Please be safe :)

No, I don't think so. In fact this morning before classes I did just that and about 30-40 minutes after I took it, halfway through class, I became intensely flushed, couldn't focus, increased heart rate, and the shakes. It was horrible. Something along the lines of being mildly drunk, extremely disoriented, and some sort of high. I panicked because it hit me so suddenly and intensely. I waited until the end of class, which seemed to have taken forever but was only 10 minutes, and immediately asked my boyfriend to drive me home. At home I tried to sleep but my breathing was off, tried to watch TV but I couldn't focus on it. I hated the feeling and felt nauseous so I tried to puke it out, drank water to flush it out too. Ended up calling my younger sister just so I could talk to someone to take my mind of the weirdness i was feeling and turns out she had the same thing happen to her once but even worse! She couldn't walk and fell over, almost blacked out. For her it lasted about 6 hours and by then she felt much better. For me today it has been almost 4 hours exactly and I finally feel more like myself but with a horrible headache and sleepiness and even off balance when trying to walk around

Avoid the DM if you want to take mucinex and delsyum together. Otherwise you are giving your self a DXM high. Robot ripping if you will. Why kids actually do this I have NO idea. It was horrible

I was wondering the same thing So I called my local Walgreens Pharmacist and he said that there was no problem with taking the two medications together!

Yes. You can take both the drugs during pregnancy.
