It completely depends on your tolerance. I have mixed Morphine and Oxycontin together, and they seem to harmonize quite nicely in my opinion. In fact, I have done just that about an hour ago... **BUT** I also have a high tolerance to narcotics. I had been taking Vicodin and Percocet on and off as a teenager, and then one day I was introduced to Oxycontin. Because I have a highly addictive personality (it runs in the family), it was bound to happen. I became hooked on Oxycontin and began on a regular basis for three years. I need about 80-100mg of Oxycontin to even begin to feel the way I need to feel in order to get things accomplished and be a more sociable, successful human being. These days, Vicodin and Percocets are nothing more than to help me fuction without being thrown into fullblown, crippling withdrawal. Narcotics, in my opinion should be prescribed for depression as well. So yes, to make a long story short, mixing Morphine with Oxycontin wont kill you, but if you're opiate intolerant, take the lowest dosage possible. Actually, if you are opiate intolerant, I would suggest not even trying them at all. Withdrawal and addiction is very real and one of the hardest things to overcome. Take in moderation and be safe.
I also believe that pain killers should be perscribed for depression. Alot of people are doing that same thing self medicating
Unless you are working with your doctor or pain management specialist I would not recommend this and can be very dangerous. I know pain specialists sometimes use morphine and prescrible oxycodone for breakthrough pain but without a doctors supervision it would be very easy to overdose on these medications.
I have been on Morphine 30MG and Oxycodone 5MG/325 MG or Hydrocodone 7.MG/500Mg for the past 2 years for pain... I get them from the V.A. I know of no other Doctors that has giving both Morphine and the others to anyone!
Yeah. Some Drs. Prescribe both at the same time, they don't react violently or negatively at all. It's safe ;)
Yes, I take oxy as my long acting and morphine immediate release for breakthrough pain.
Yes

OxyContin is an opioid analgesic that has an abuse liability similar to morphine. The half-life of OxyContin is at 3.2 hours.
It is an opiate.
Bayer -- then a German company -- first synthesized Oxycontin in 1916 as a hoped for replacement for pharceutical heroin and morphine.
Only under physician direction can you mix versed and morphine.
MScontin is time released Morphine sulfate (12 hours) at different doses available. Oxycontin is time released oxycodone example of Oxycodone is percocet/with tylenol. Oxycontin also has nothing added to it such as Tylenol. Oxycontin is just oxycodone in a 12hr release formula and made at different doses.
Oxycontin and Percocet are both oxycodone not morphine or hydromorphone.
They are the same just diff name
no ms contin is morphine sulfate and Oxycontin is oxycodone while mscontin will show up as an opiate the Oxycontin shows up as oxycodone
Yes, but professional labs can tell the difference.
All narcotics are addicting but the most is Oxycontin and morphine.
Not unless you purposly want to get high.
