Yes, this would be OK. Tylenol PM is a Tylenol plus a Benadryl. Remember that it will make you sleepy. Remember to talk all of your antibiotics even after you start to feel better. You want to kill all the bacteria and not let any hide out in your body!
Yes. Doxycycline is an antibiotic, and Tylenol pm is a combination of acetaminophen and diphenhydramine (benadryl). They won't counter act each other, or cause any side effects at all, except possibly drowsiness (from the benadryl)
There is no interaction between doxycycline and acetaminophen.
According to this study, the former drug may actually improve the efficacy of the latter. http://jas.fass.org/cgi/content/abstract/84/11/3155
Doxycycline is not a good antimalarial. You should take the same for two weeks after leaving malaria area.
no
No, methodone does not contain any acetaminophen. Tylenol contains acetaminophen.
No it is not. Tylenol is an analgesic or antipyretic and the codeine present in it is considered an opiate.
They are safe to take together as long as they are taken as prescribed. It is very common for people to take a benzodiazepine (Xanax) and a painkiller (Tylenol #4). But be careful, it is common to experience drowsiness, especially during the first few days of taking the two drugs.
The maximum dose of acetaminophen for adults is 1000mg at a time, and 4000mg per day. Tylenol 3 contains 300mg of acetaminophen. That makes up to 13 Tylenol 3's during the day. But Tylenol 3 contains 30mg of codeine, and they do not recommend to take more than 240mg of codeine daily. That makes 8 Tylenol 3's all in all at maximum. If you need more acetaminophen, you may try to replace Tylenol 3 with Tylenol 2 or Tylenol 1 (15mg and 8mg of codeine respectively). But, of course, the less you use the better.
The safest thing for you to do is to call the doctor that prescribed the medicine. He will know more about your body's chemistry, your dosage amounts and be able to provide a much safer answer than someone that is unaware of your medical history.
Hydrocodone is 6-8 Times stronger than Codeine. So it deprends how much you take of either drug. For example: 10mg of hydrocodone is equal to 60-80mg of codeine (which would be approx. 2-3 Tylenol #3 (Tylenol with 30mg of codeine and 325mg of Tylenol).
Hydrocodone has Tylenol in it. It can be in large amounts or smaller amounts. I've seen it have 650mg of Tylenol all the way down to 350mg. Because of the damage to your liver, I've always been told not to take Tylenol when you take hydrocodone.
yes taking Motrin is perfectly safe with acetominophen doctors usually recommend alternating acetominophen and nsaids in 2 hour intervals
A lot! Consider this: one Tylenol 3 with codeine contains only three milligrams of the drug. 3 milligrams is only 3/200,000 of 200 grams. I am a medical doctor but also take codeine for my Fibromyalgia. Tylenol 3 (generic is Acetaminophen with Codeine) contains 30mg (thirty milligrams) of codeine. 1000mg (milligrams) = 1 gram. which means 200 grams would be equal to taking 6,667 pills of Tylenol 3. This would kill any human no matter what the persons tolerance is.
Tylenol 1 is 325mg Acetaminophen w/ 8mg Codeine and 15mg Caffeine.Tylenol 3 is Tylenol #3: 300mg Acetaminophen w/ 30mg Codeine and 15mg Caffeine. There is not really an "equal" seeing that you would be taking more than double the Tylenol to get nearly the same amount of codeine. It's really not safe to take excessive amounts of Tylenol.
