When Taking Lamictal For Bipolar Depression It Is Not Uncommon For A Person To Be Given A Small Dosage Of Prozac Or Other Antidepressents. The Dosage Of Prozac Most Always, When Given The Working Dosage Of Lamictal, Will Be Given In A Small Dosage 10 mg or 20 mg per day. I Strongly Recommend You Discuss This With Your Psychiatrist. ∙ 16y agoIf your doctor has not prescribed Elavil along with Lamictal then you should not take it. If your doctor has prescribed it then it will be alright. Whenever in doubt about two different medications (if you should be seeing more than one doctor) then phone your pharmacist and they have the knowledge to let you know what medications will interact with another.

lamictal is a mood stabilizer
the 2 do not have drug-to-drug interactions that are harmful in anyway.
in fact, they go together very well, especially in treating bipolar depression, according to my physician...
