According to wikipedia's page on Suboxone " One French study showed a higher incidence of fatal overdose in patients who injected both buprenorphine and benzodiazepines, specifically, temazepam, together.[18] Buprenorphine can be safely taken with prescribed benzodiazepines at normal dosage, as long as the patient is tolerant to either opioids or benzodiazepines, and the drugs are taken in the dosages prescribed and by the route of administration prescribed, and not injected."
I think this means that you can take them together, so long as it's under medical supervision. Please see the related link for the full article. To clarify, Xanax is a benzodiazepine, but you probably knew that already.

∙ 12y agoyou might get away with it but its reported to be fatal in certain cases and doses. I have taken a benzo to sleep a day after suboxone and i was fine, but i don't know myself if i am risking it.

No. it is unsafe to take any Benzodiazapine with Suboxone! It even says so on the Suboxone website. Not only is it dangerous but it has caused deaths in some patients. I also checked this out by calling the medical department at Suboxone and I was told that I was correct that this was the indication.

So my new suboxone doc weaned me off in 2 weeks and said how deathly fatal it is to mix suboxone & xanax and even with percocets witch we called our cocktail, mixing uppers or pain pills with downers, but No they DoNot get you high (seen someone said they do) if you take them how you arw supposed to and No you should not take xanax with suboxone unless under close dr supervision but most suboxone doctors will not prescribe them together & at suboxone.com it will say about how it can be fatal to take any benzodines with suboxone, So I would say No and I really hope you will read that and not take them together for the safety of your health and life even.
