Andrew Jackson
Not exactly. He had his day in court though. He pled guilty to at least 48 counts of first degree murder. Since he was not contesting his guilt there was no need for a jury trial. But the law being what it is demands formal pleadings. He was officially charged, he confessed, and was given a plea deal. For his confessing to the crimes the state of Washington would not seek the death penalty. Many of his victim's families were upset about the deal but it saved time and money which is what was best for the state. Ridgeway was locked up forever.
