It depends!
Some medications' chemicals change over time and may become poisonous, so it is a bad idea to take these medications, of course.
Other medications stay in fine shape and remain efficacious for a long time after the expiration
date.
The problem is that there is no real good way to tell which is in the first category and which is in the second. Also, many environmental factors affect the changes in the chemicals. So some medication with a relatively short expiration may last very long after the expiration date and be fine, while another medication with a relatively long expiration period, deteriorates rapidly and becomes trash.
So, the best way to deal with expired medications is to chuck them and throw them away. It is safer!!!
Also, when you get a prescription from your doctor, ask that the doctor prescribes only as much as you need, not more "for stocking up!" "Stocking up" is a terrible idea and can be dangerous, see above!
When yo take the meds, take them AS PRESCRIBED. So if the doctor told you to take the meds until they run out, DO THAT. Just because you feel great after three pills, may not mean you are rid of the problem. The proper regimen also prevents you from having a stock of unused medicines.
Absolutely, I've taken expired pain killers from the 90's! Medication does not really "expire" in the sense that it won't work or hurt you, what is meant by expired is that it's efficacy (or how well it works) starts to degrade. So expired medicine just won't work as well as it gets older.
No, a person should never take any type of expired medicine, including oxycodone. The medicine needs to be threw away.
Heck yes, you can. I do it all the time. Sometimes they don't work as well as fresh ones. There might be some side effects, but you can, in fact take them.
It's most likely safe but may have lost some of its effectiveness. also if it is stored in a normal temp and is air tight.
no,no should not take any drug if it is expired ,because expired drugs lack the potency of drugs.it may rancid .
Yes. It wonβt hurt you but it may have lost some or all of its effectiveness.
They will not be harmful, they will either still be good or if they really are expired they will simply not work or not work as well as they used to.
No. Oxycodone has a tendency to linger in a corpse.
yes
Yes you can take the 2, but be careful about how much of each you take.
you shouldn't take expired steroids you can die don't take risk
It is never a good idea to take expired medication.
30 mg oxycodone
yes just be careful it may potentiate the oxycodone.
I take celexa, chantix, klonopin and oxycodone together.
Yes, I take gabupentin 4 times per day and have been on oxycodone while on it. There were no problems with the interaction for me.
You can take a plain Tylenol (acetaminophen) along with oxycodone if it is plain oxycodone. Do not take too much acetaminophen - if your oxycodone already has acetaminophen or APAP in it, don't take more on top of what's already there.
Taking expired herbs is not recommended.
