the fuel filter is located onn the driver side on top of the gas tank. . . to remove take off the rear bolt from the gas tank strap on the driver side it releases the old fuel filter. Should be under the vehicle - follow the fuel line from the tank

to replace your fuel filter.you need to loosen off your gas tank and your filter is right on top of the tank do not replace this filter on a regular basis because it filters the fuel on the way out of the tank
Take a look at your back seat. Take off the seat and under it, you will see about two doors that you have to un bolt to get to the fuel tank. Once you get their, take out the fuel pump. The filter should be within.
For the 04 it is an integral part of the fuel pump assembly which is located in the tank. I think you can access the tank by removing the back seat, but you might have to take the tank off.
