I have heard mixed things from vets about giving Benadryl to canines. From what I have been told, a lot of it has to do with the size of your dog. Their systems are totally different than ours, so dosing per weight would not be the same either. It really is best to go to the vet and find out what is causing the problem. They may even be able to hook you up with meds that will work better on your dogs symptoms than anything you may able to self medicate him/her with.
Can you take Benadryl and hydrocortizone cream togeter

"This is a question for your Vet" Obviously Vets are not frequenting this site. There are Hydrocortisone sprays and creams available on line via many of the "Pet Medication" sites. My vet actually has a cortisone injection he gives to one of our cats. As to if is OK to put what is intended for human use be careful as while the Hydrocortisone could be beneficial what is used to make up the cream or spray that delivers it may not.
