A) Expiration dates exist to let you know when the medicine is no longer any goodB) You should not even have leftover antibiotics - you are supposed to take all of them when you have an infection so you cure all of the infection and not just part of it
In the US, expiration dates on pharmaceuticals tend to be set fairly conservatively... most drugs are still "good" well past their expiration dates, though they may be slightly less effective. An FDA study conducted at the behest of the US military found that 90% of the drugs tested were still useful and effective as much as 15 years (!) past their expiration dates. The exceptions to this general rule are antibiotics (especially liquid antibiotics), protein-based drugs (e.g. insulin), and other quickly-deteriorating compounds like nitroglycerin. Penicillin, as an antibiotic, is extremely questionable. You shouldn't have any penicillin lying around anyway, since you should ALWAYS take the FULL course of any antibiotics prescribed for you (failure to do so is why we've got so many strains of antibiotic-resistant germs around now). If it's two days past the expiration date and you've got two doses left, go ahead and take them. If they're from when your mom was sick six months ago, throw it away (better yet, give it to a physician or pharmacist for proper disposal), get your own, and take all of it.
The expiration date is how long the medication is guaranteed to be potent for. You should be fine to take it past its exp date, just might not work as well.
It's never a good idea to take medicine past its expiration.
Yes, it has been a approved for military use in overseas U.S. bases for up to 2 years past it's expiration date.
I have not seen the new Gillette coupons yet. Usually the expiration date is anywhere from 30 days to 6 months or more. Sometimes stores will even take expired coupons if it is not more than a week past the expiration date. You might even be able to print out Gillette coupons from their website.
Expiration dates mean the date that the drug is full-strength. After that date, it's no longer as effective. You can take it, but it probably won't work well.
can you take malarone if allergic to penicillin
can you take phentermine if you are allergic to penicillin?
No, it is not recommended to take ceftriaxone if you are allergic to penicillin.
No it isn't safe. Taking anything past the experation date is unsafe
Diabetes is not a contraindication for penicillin. You can safely take penicillin without regard to diabetes.
While ondansetron may still be effective for a short period after its expiration date, it is generally not recommended to take any medication past its expiration due to potential reduced effectiveness and safety concerns. The expiration date indicates the time until which the manufacturer guarantees the medication's safety and efficacy. It’s best to consult a healthcare professional for advice and consider obtaining a fresh supply if needed.
