Yes you can take codeine suryp while taking suboxone! I do it all the time! It does not send you into w.d's it really works! So yes

Addictionally, the narcotic antagonist in the Suboxone would probably counteract any pain relief provided by the codeine.

Well I'm trying to figure this out right now. I was prescribed a bottle of promethazine syrup with codeine earlier today. I know suboxone blocks the effects of opiates so I'd figure it wouldn't do anything, but I'm hoping the promethazine by itself will potent the effects of the suboxone. I really hope so.

Do NOT take methadone to get off Suboxone. Taper off Suboxone over 10 days. Cut the pills in eighths if you have to. Taking methadone for 5 days will only give you 2 addictions
