Opinions differ on the subject. Some say that you are unconsciously moving the pointer yourself. Others say that you are communicating with a spirit. I can only speak from personal experience (which I would not care to repeat), but in my opinion, the answer is yes. The problem is, you are speaking to the NEAREST spirit who can respond, and a lot of them are not happy about being forced to communicate with you. There are many better ways to talk to spirits than a Ouija board, because you don't know who you're talking to when you use one.

∙ 14y agoYou might. But they get a lot of souls already, without having to pretend to give you secret messages from beyond, so you might not. After all, from the devils perspective, you already committed sin by trying it, so there's little more they need to do.

∙ 10y agoDepending on the belief, some believe that it is possible while others believe that once a spirit enters the Kingdom of Heaven, that spirits cannot communicate back. It's a matter of personal belief whether this is a possibility or not.

Ouija Boards are not inherently evil or "bad". They are inanimate objects, it is a person's projection on to the ouija board, and that person's personal understanding of what is good and what is evil that defines the ouija board as good or evil. It is only a tool.

I don't think you can choose who you talk to when you use an Ouija board, it just gets a random spirit and you talk to it. I don't know for sure, but I think that's how it works. BUT- if you're smart before you ask the spirit anything you ask it if it is evil or good. If it says evil, just immediately quit. If it says good and you want to talk to a dead loved one, ask the ghost if it's the loved one or if it knows them and maybe- just MAYBE- you'll be able to talk to them.
