It depends on what your master's degree is in. I know for a fact that you need an English, Math, History, or Science degree. You could just have one of these and you could be that teacher.
Teach grades k-8
yes you need a masters or a bachelors degree
Typically, it takes a minimum of a masters degree and completed graduate work in the course you are teaching.
It depends on what you want to teach and where you want to teach. If you want to teach children at the elementary level, a degree in elementary education would be sufficient. If you want to teach at the high school level, a degree in secondary education or a degree in the subject you want to teach (history, math, English, biology, etc.) would be necessary. If you wish to teach at the college level, usually a Master's degree in a specific field is the bare minimum. A doctorate (PhD) is usually preferred, particularly if you desire a full professorship.
If you have a masters degree in history, art, math, English or science, then you could teach. *Majority of Colleges and Universities require a doctorate in order to teach. Teaching in Elementary and Secondary schools requires an additional teaching certificate/license.
To teach within the public school system, you must have a bachelor's degree in a teacher education program and state teacher certification. However, you should be able to substitute teach with 60 college credits.
Many online universities offer classes in education which will lead to a degree in elementary education. However, the student still has to student teach to receive certification in most states.
You masters
Not much. Usually one needs at least a masters degree to teach.
Elementary Teachers need to take courses in how to teach math, language arts, and social studies. Also, human development, child psychology, curriculum design, and literacy instruction. Finally, a bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college, and a license to teach.
I know having an MA in Adult Education is one,but if there are any other MA degrees I am not sure.
A baccalaurteate is a Bachelors Degree (Ba); the use of the degree depends entirely on the the material that was studied and what job it is being applied to. For example a Bachelors Degree in Law is only useful if it is applied in a legal (and sometimes commercial field). You would not use it if you wanted to teach at elementary school, for that you would require a BA in elementary education or education.
