I know for a fact that people in Wales are called Welsh.
Welsh has been in existence longer than English. Welsh is a Celtic language and has been spoken in Wales for over 1500 years, while English as we know it today began to develop around the 5th century AD with the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons in Britain.
That only a fifth of it's population know any Welsh. A fifth of it's population speak Welsh AS THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE, but the number of people who know some Welsh, even if only a few words or phrases, is closer to 2/3rds of it's populace.
To know a language requires you to be able to be able to speak, read, write, and understand said language, while knowing about a language means that you know of its existence and possibly some facts about it, and does not require you to be able to communicate in that language.

The total number of people who know some Welsh (even if it's only a few words) is about 70-75%. About 20% of Welsh people (one fifth) use Welsh as their first language in preference to English. There are a tiny handful of people (most of them now very old) living in remote parts of rural Wales who can ONLY speak Welsh, or whose English is very poor. There are also several hundred thousands of Welsh expatriots living around the world who have some knowledge of Welsh, a sizeable number of which speak it fluently. In addition, several thousand Patagonian Argentinians can speak the language, due to the region having been colonised by Welsh emigrants in the 19th Century.
beyond the bounds is a made up language it is very popular to do that in video games and i know because i have looked it up for years and i finally met a composer close to the person who made it and there we go it is made up!
Sometimes they do, and sometimes they just give the facts straight out.
