Can you tell me why there is pus in my lower left wisdom tooth socket The tooth was extracted 16 days ago and today my face was swollen. There was a white spot where the socket was and pus came out.?

Sounds like you might have a small piece of food get into the socket, and now the socket has become infected. You need to get back to your dentist, have him clean it out and get on some antibiotics. You don't want the infection to spread. Remember your face is pretty close to your brain!
