I thought that you could test pills in vinegar to see if they dissolve. That would tell you if they dissolve in your body.
put about a teaspoon in a bowl. add some water to it. or vinegar which will definitely bubble if still acive. it should dissolve and slightly 'bubble'. the best way is use by the date on the package.
Do a pH test on it. You can also taste it - and see that it is sour, which is characteristic of acids.
Because when the chemicals in the egg emerge with the vinegar acids it dissolves.
The eggshell would dissolve without breaking the membrane that contains the egg. See the Related Link.
A very good way to see if some solid is soluble in a solvent is to see if the solid has the same polarity. If these oppose they will not!! dissolve or even mix. Most Salts are soluble in a polar solution like Water. There are other solids that need something like petrol or an organic Solvent to dissolve them. You could also search for the "Solubility Rules".
I'm not sure why you would want to risk pregnancy to see if you get a period. If you're worried you're already pregnant, take a pregnancy test.
Vinegar will bubble when a drop is placed on limestone. If it bubbles it's a pretty good indication that it's Limestone.
A vitamin should actually dissolve in about 30 to 45 minutes in order to get full nutritional values. A good test is to mix evenly water and vinegar and use the heating pad of a coffee maker to heat up the solution. Stir the solution every 5 minutes after the pill has been added to see how long it will take to dissolve in your body. The reason it should take so long is because the nutrients need to finish dissolving in the small intestine to be absorbed correctly. If it takes less than 25 minutes it is not doing you much good.
You can use a pregnancy test at anytime while on the pill (it will not effect the test), if you normally have bleeding while taking the sugar pills, wait to see if the bleeding is late or the day before you start your new packet to test for pregnancy.
you need to go see you Doctor.
