No, you have to open the phone to text. You can use the touch screen to make calls, but that's it.
No.... like every other Mercedes, it currently does not. I have a ML 350 and no touch screen is the worst part of the car.
The Motorola Rival is a touch screen in some variations. When the phone is closed the out side screen is a touch screen when you are dialing a number and that's about it. When slide open the OK button and two side buttons are on the screen so you basically have to use them. But for the most part its only partially a touch screen there is no scrolling with the screen or any fancy functions like that.
To set up Speed Dial on your Samsung Proclaim, Touch the green PHONE icon on your screen, then touch the menu icon on the bottom (on far left bottom part of the phone, not on the screen.) It will present an option for Speed Dial Setting. Touch that. It will take you to your contacts and you can select the number to add to your speed dial list. After adding contacts, you can re-arrange the order or remove any of them. To make a call using Speed Dial, tap Phone Icon, then the Keypad icon. From the Dialer keypad, touch and hold the speed dial number.
They stick to your touch screen but still allow the "touch" part through. Therefore they protect the screen from being scratched by annoying pens (the stylus you're supposed to use).
if the screen is black you cant fix it is an internal crack that spread to the external part of the phone.
the Samsung exclaim is an alright phone it is pretty legit but it does sometime randomly turn off and the screen freezes but for the most part it is pretty good!
On old Touch screens it is a thin sheet of clear palstic attached to sensores and the screen is underneath , when you press it down you put More Pressure on one part of the plastic and the sensors sense it thus giving the MB the command to select where your finger touched
To make it easy... its the screen on top of the LCD part of a touch screen phone... so its kind of an LCD protector.
In touch focus devices, the user can select which part of the image the camera should focus on by touching the corresponding object in the viewfinder. Touch focus is available only in cameras with a touch screen.
