No, all saved data is kept on the hard drive, or memory card.

∙ 12y agoyes, if you have a memory card, im not sure how much they cost but not over 40$. you can get them at your local GameStop or probably where 360s are sold
or use a cheap usb

∙ 14y agoI'm not sure i know you can get memory cards for that with the regular xbox but porbably, and i think the xbox arcade uses memory cards since it has no harddrive, so probably yes.

∙ 9y agoNo, only way you can transfer your saved items is from hard-drive to hard-drive. This means you can only transfer your items from your old hard-drive to a new or different hard-drive.

If it's one of the ones that come with a game already installed, then you can transfer a 3DS profile to it and the XL's game will be added to your profile, it will not be overwritten. However if the new XL already has a profile (a Mii, etc) then anything specific to that profile will be overwritten, and anything on its SD card will be inaccessible.
