An air conditioner if functioning as air warmer or air chiller can be called as a type of heat pump. If an air conditioner is working as an air de-humidifier then it no more a heat pump.
sure why not
Sorry about the ignorant answer someone left. Yes A heat pump is also an Air Conditioner.
Replacement heat pump costs for an air conditioner can vary depending on the model of the conditioner. The lowest expected price is at least $500 but may rise to around $3000;
its called a heat pump
An air heat pump is used to heat and cool your home. It is like an air conditioner in the warmer months but then can also heat your home if the outside temperature is above freezing.
A heat pump acts as a furnace in heat mode to warm the home in the winter, then acts as an air conditioner in the summer to cool the home.
The simple analogy I use when teaching HVAC classes to describe an "air-to-air Heat Pump" goes like this:Think of a window air conditioner. When it runs, it blows cold air into your room, and hot air outdoors. What it's actually doing is transferring the heat from your room to outside.What if you could turn the window air conditioner around in cold weather? Then it would blow the warm air that used to go outdoors into your room, while it "air conditioned" the outside.That's how a Heat Pump works. It doesn't physically move the components of the air conditioner around, but it reverses the direction of refrigerant flow so that it "air conditions" the outdoors while heating your house.The HVAC Veteran
well a heat pump is used to heat or cool water and air conditioning is used to cool a room or home. So it would really depend on what you are trying to heat or cool
If your heater is a heat pump , then yes.
Yes, as long as it a gas system and not a electric heat pump system
It is a 4 ton heat pump made by Inner City Products
