you can set the ps3 for auto turn off. There is nothing else except for manual or controller turn off. The iphone and the PS3 do not link at all except through the usb port

Well, PS3 slim looks cool and has more games than PS Vita, but the PS Vita will have graphics that look similar to the PS3's but probably SONY will come up with some other games for PS Vita and one bad part about PS Vita is that its not cheap, but also maybe SONY will lower the price by March or April or May or maybe next year but i'd say PS Vita because its most likely a portable PS3.
