There is no such thing as a forklift license only training. ---- For those UK based people - Following forklift training a test is undertaken and a licence if competence is proven in the safe handling of a forklift is issued by a registered examiner. Each forklift type requires training followed by a test and the issue of a licence to operate that type of machine. Failure to do so is a breach of the health and safety at work act which is punishable under UK law. Quite a difference to requirements of other countries.
European forklift certificates are not valid in the UK. The HSE and accrediting bodies have agreed that certain standards need to be met and European training organisations do not have to meet these standards.
