No. If you obtain the marriage license in Louisiana, you must get married in the State of Louisiana. There are no residency requirements. You can get married in any parish in the state. You will have to get the marriage license 3 prior to the ceremony. This can be waived by a judge or justice of the peace authorized to perform the ceremony. The license is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.

In Oklahoma, there are no residency requirements either, but the marriage must be performed in the State of Oklahoma. You must apply for the license no more than 10 days before the ceremony. There is no waiting period required except for those under the age of 18. If under age 18, there is a 72 hour waiting period.
