A black light configuration is completely safe for your fish. It's more recommended for aquascaped fully-planted aquariums, as it prevents algae blooms. If you do decide to use black light, make sure you have plenty of decorations that react to it, otherwise you won't have much use for it. I have a 45 gal. tank set up with a black light for night time, and a fluorescent for the day. It's cool to have less light coming from the tank, and when you stumble out to use the restroom in the middle of the night, and all you see is glowing fake anemones or plastic plants, its pretty awesome. =]
Good luck, and happy aquascaping.
Yeah that would be fine
black light
Well a fish's pee is black. A very light black.
Yes, they do. But, too much light is not good for black moor fish or any other fish. Keep the light on for 8-10 hours a day.
i think it is a type of goldfish?!?!?!?!?
lantern fish
No, you should be able to use it
no if you keep the lights on all the time it will create algae faster in the aquarium
Black light, Lava rocks, Running the filter, Getting a algae fish
they atraked food with there light
Has to do with reflected light, its wavelength, and how water effects it. Red light cannot travel as deep in water as green or blue. Therefor, when a red fish goes deeper the needed RED LIGHT cannot reach it and will not be reflected off the fish. SO! It looks black because it is REFLECTING no color. Thats what color is... reflected light.

Yes a glow fish is a freshwater fish. They are a relatively small (between 1 and 2 inches) schooling fish which means that they need to be in groups of 5 - 6 or more. You can buy them at your local pet store but they are more expensive than other schooling fish. they are about 4-5 dollars each (prices vary) because of their glowing properties. These fish do not glow in regular light, but are still pretty because of their neon yellow green or pink/red colors. They only really glow under a black light. You can buy a tank specifically for glow fish with a built in black light at your local fish store as well.
