Yes, It is possible. I have tried it before and it works. Used a KDS monitor.
no you can not do this. you can only use an external monitor on the laptop.
If the IBM laptop you use has a VGA port you just connect your monitor cable directly to the port. Then turn on the laptop and it should install the drivers needed to use the external monitor automatically. If you laptop does not have a VGA port then you will need a "Laptop replica port" to add the VGA port so you can connect the monitor.
Yes you can, just use a VGA cable and that will typically allow you to connect a laptop to a monitor. Once you connect the monitor, you need to go to your properties and allow the monitor extend the screen.
Displaying stuff on the monitor.
Nearly all laptops have a VGA out port, designed specifically for a second monitor.
I think so, but the use of a monitor of some kind is advised as otherwise there would be little or no point having the laptop turned on in the first place.
install the webcam and place it on top of the monitor
You simply have to buy a cable to connect your laptop to the monitor. They cost around five dollars.
Unlike the CRT monitor, LCD doesn't use as much power. So, the battery of the laptop is enough to power its LCD monitor. There is a power supply cables within the laptops. That cables carry the power from the battery to its LCD monitor and other power needed devices. It is the simplest answer of how is the LCD on the laptop powered?
As long as the voltage is the same and the wattage is the same or higher as is rated for the Acer Aspire One, yes. In practice, a full-size power cord will probably not work.
Have to write it here to not get 'invalid context format' The laptop is from 2014 IIRC and has a Dell docking port. I want to make the laptop use the pc parts as if they were it's internal ones, or the pc to use the hard drive from the laptop, and use the laptop for the monitor and keyboard. I do not want to do anything on its inside if possible
Laptops generally have LCD displays. They also usually have a connector on the rear of the laptop where you can attach an external monitor. Using an external monitor is a good way to diagnose a defective laptop display if you suspect t the LCD laptop display is bad.
