A period is a time when your body is able to produce babies. Sex should start when you are moved out, married, and are probably at least 19. If you have to use a tampon, you're ready, but I wouldn't do it right away.

Can you use a tampon right after sex or the day after?

You can use a tampon after sex as long as you're still menstruating.Tampons cannot be worn when not menstruating without putting you at serious risk of toxic shock syndrome, during menstruation there is still a risk but following correct use reduces that risk. There's no reason why you wouldn't be able to use tampons after you've had sex.

Does a tampon prevent the sperm from fertilizing the egg at all?

NO !! of course not ,, think about how it got there to start with, no!!!! the sperm got there first... a tampon would just push it in further. Even if you did for some reason choose to have sex with a tampon in, this will not prevent pregnancy because the tampon would just absorb some of the semen, and it would still be "in there" Good luck trying to find the tampon after having sex with it in.

Will using a tampon after sex to avoid the wet feeling stop pregnancy?

No. The sperm which will get you pregnant is too far inside of you to be effected by a tampon. It will, however, stop the wet feeling. It is not a good idea to use a tampon for anything except a period as it will dry you out too much and may cause toxic shock syndrome. If you are wet use a pantie pad.

Where does the tampon go in the genital area?

The tampon goes into the vagina, which is where the blood is coming from. If you don't know basic genital anatomy then you should not be using tampons as there is no way you know how to use tampons correctly or understand the risks involved in tampon use. Use pads for now and spend some time learning the basics of your anatomy before considering tampon use.

If you put a tampon in after having can yo still get pregnant?

Tampons have no bearing on pregnancy. They're not contraceptives. Putting on a condom before have sex or using some other barrier method before having sex works. Putting something in afterwards doesn't.

Could you get pregnant by a tampon?

No, obviously you cannot get pregnant by a tampon. In order to get pregnant you need sperm to fertilize an egg, sperm normally comes from a penis - thus to get pregnant you'd either have to have sex or have IVF. A tampon is not a penis, a tampon cannot contain sperm, and using a tampon is not sex - thus you can't get pregnant by a tampon.

Is you used a tampon are you a virgin?

Yes, you are a virgin up until you have sex with someone else.A virgin is someone who has not yet had sex with another person, a tampon is not a person and inserting a tampon is not sex so it doesn't change the fact that you are a virgin. Simply putting things in your vagina has no impact on virginity, even when it comes to sex you don't have to have anything going into your vagina for it to be considered sex and you no longer being a virgin.
