top coat and base coat are basically the same just the top coat is shinier so it should be OK.

∙ 12y agoNot really. Base coat is made to go between your nail and the color coat, so it's a little bit rough and sticky on top. Top coat is made to protect the entire system, so it's glossy and hard.
