Most likely it contains a certain amount of DEET, which could be harmful to your pet. (I'm not too sure it's really all that good for humans.)
Your best defense would be to have your canine friend tested for heartworms and if clear, put on a monthly treatment like HeartGard.
Then use a flea and tick treatment (many are monthly) to protect your dog against other insects that can cause problems.
That's usually enough to get 'em through the year without too many problems.
If you dog has been sprayed with DEET, then probably a bath should be considered.
Since I'm not a vet, I'd really suggest that you call a local veterinarian and just ask. They should be able to tell you what's safe and what isn't. It only takes a few minutes to be sure and it could save your dog's life.
No - OFF insect repellent is only safe for use on humans, and only as described on the label. There are a variety of dog-safe insect repellents, such as Frontline or Advantage, that you can use instead.
You should read the directions on the label of the container. If still unsure, I would suggest you call your local vet's office. They should be able to provide you with an answer. My guess, not really, they lick their fur and depending on how much was used, could be harmful.
No, use frontline or other topical medication for fleas ticks insects etc. What may seem good for use on humans can be hazardous to pets.

First, you take yoyr dog's eye out and lick the pepper off. Then, ALL DONE!
Well first off, you should not spray the wall with hair spray at all.

You can purchase on the internet the Mace brand "Muzzle" pepper spray. It is made specifically for impairing dogs in a humane way. Pepper spray for humans is too strong to be used on dogs.
spray disinfectant spray on them
I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
yes. If it's a real problem just use a light spray of "off" or something similar. The same stuff you'd use on people.
It's recommended to spray them with water from the nearest hose. This will distract the dogs enough that they separate.
Foxes do not spray, but use a strong shampoo to get whatever the smell is off.
