herbal shampoo is natural, so it will only benefit your hair.
I've been using Herbal Essence for all my life (literally) and my hair is silky smooth so I say, Go For It!

I would not recommend using suave on an American girl dolls hair. If you want to shampoo their hair you should use a much gentler shampoo like johnsons baby shampoo or herbal essences( moisturize or restore)

well for starters don't wash wild mice. (what ever disease they may carry will not go away if you wash them) if you go to your local pet store I'm shure you could find some sort of pet shampoo, but worst comes to worst I've washed rodents using herbal essences (all natural shampoo) and that works just fine.
