Only use ATF+4
SPIII fluid - you can use Castrol multi-vehicle import availabe at Advanced Auto - it is SPIII compatible.
There will be a fill plug on the side of the trans, fill it until fluid comes out of the hole and seal it back up.
specs call fro spIII trans oil, can also use castrol multi-import.
If it is the torque shift trans it uses mercron SP fluid be shure of what trans you have
Why don't you look it up on the vehicle manufacture manual,it won't kill you;if your that lazy then any trans fluid will do but it's recommended you use what the manual commend!
as far as I know you can not add fluid because the trans. is a self enclosed trans.(if you have slippage, its time for repair.

A 2004 Ram 1500 uses ATF+4 transmission fluid only.
You gave no info on what model Ram and what engine. Typically, Auto Trans Fluid "Plus 4" is what Chrys. calls for; however, standard Pwr Strg fluid should identify if it works on your vehicle.
You do not change the trans fluid. It is a life time synthetic fluid.
You must use-- DEXRON III Trans. fluid
straight up.
