A pendrive cannot act as ram. RAM's memory is volatile and directly connected to the motherboard. A pendrive can only act as physical memory.
The RAM that is used for a laptop is not the same as the RAM that you would use in a desktop PC. The RAM that is used for a PC is much too big to be used in a laptop, so a laptop has to use a much smaller RAM card which is called SD-RAM.
I think it is time to buy a new PC with higher RAM.

Yes you can use. PC means DDR1 266mhz ram, PC 2700 means DDR1 333mhz ram. you should not use in combination of both PC2100 and PC2700 because due to Bus frequency mismatch some boards will not support.
