If your more of a video watch, touch screen gender, I personally think you should provide yourself an Iphone. If your more of a Talkative Gender (blackberry has a special blackberry chat) and your not keen on touch screens, Blackberry is PERFECT for you. They are both one of the worlds best phones. Do you want other peoples opinions? The blackberry is not as good as iphone and this is a FACT"My Iphone is AWSOME and its an AMAZING product. Its touch screen and you Dont have to look after it every minute of the day""Iphone is cool and sofisticated. I absoutley prefer it then the chunky BlackBerry.""IPhone is very fabulous. Good Quality. Blackberry No where near as goodIphone 90%blackberry 10%
It depends on the child. The Iphone is aigret phone as it has so many features and you can do basically anything on it. However, the Blackberry is more of a social phone, people say it's for business people but to be honest all businessmen and women are going for the iPhone. I would suggest getting a blackberry torch as it is a very simple phone to use and it has BBM where you can chat to your friends on Blackberry for free!
Demi lovato has a blackberry & an apple iPhone. She uses the blackberry for her business work and her iPhone for personal use.
No bbm is just for blackberry but you can get PingChat which Blackberry, iPhone and android can get

Yes, you do need to have a Blackberry in order to use the Blackberry Messenger application but apparently RIM (Research in Motion, the proprietors of Blackberry) might release Blackberry Messenger for iPhone and Android devices as well.
Blackberry phones are worth the cost. IPhone and Androids are as well. Blackberry phones are worth the cost if you use every percent of it.
