It not a french fry nor is it a pickle, you are not seasoning it nor are you preserving it so skip the salt. More often than not people screw up making saline solution and end up making a concentrated acidic solution that actually does more harm than good. Check the related links for more info about Sea Salt and Saline
You have to be careful what you wash your navel piercing with. Although I don't know what Himilayan Pink Crystal salt is, it's probably best not to use it. Sea salt is recommended. NO TABLE SALT! And in the shower you can use a soap like provon.
Yes you can, just warm some water, mix in the salt and swish with it like you would mouthwash :-)
When I got my eyebrow peirced years ago they also gave me antibacterial soap to use on it.
Your local piercing shop should have cleaning products you can buy as well!
Yes. What you do is mix 1/8 teaspoon of non-idozied sea salt with 8 oz. of water. then you soak it on the piercing. do this twice a day or told by your piercer. good luck!
Rinse it with either salt water or an alcohol-free mouthwash after every meal.
Salt water is great for cleansing sores in your mouth (gargling it at least). Can't see why that would be bad for cleansing your tongue piercing. (Just don't swallow! Ouch.)
use warm salt water.. swill it round... spit:)
You need to keeep it clean with salt water.
Either a mixture of natural sea salt and water or an alcohol-free mouthwash. Mouthwash makes it feel a bit cleaner/fresher imo.
If you were to clean your piercing with salt by itself, it would certainly hurt! What people actually clean their piercing with is saline solution- a mix of sea salt and water. (A good ratio to use is 1 table spoon of salt per cup of water.) The saline solution itself should not hurt your piercing. However, sometime cleaning a piercing will irritate it. This may hurt, but the salt is not responsible.
Natural Sea Salt and tap water. I use a pinch of salt for a shotglass amount of warm water. or you can use 1/4 tsp of salt for 8 oz water.
for tongue piercings YES. but i don't recommend it for swellings or cracks, bcause it will hurt a lot and i doesn't do anything. saltwater is just for new piercings to heal and prevent from infections.
Yes if you used boiled water and 1 tsp of salt to 1 pint of water.
Make Sure you keep it clean with mouthwash and salt water
Any grocery store.
Warm water is really the only alternative. You definitely need to either pick up some natural sea salt or alcohol-free mouthwash ASAP
